  • 1 cup Water

  • Season the chicken with salt and black pepper, then let it sit for 5–10 minutes.
  • Lightly dredge the chicken pieces in flour, shaking off any excess.
  • Heat a little olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear until golden brown on all sides.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside, loosely covered to keep warm.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low and melt the 3 tablespoons of butter in the same skillet.
