About Me
Hi, I’m Dozus, the cook and creator behind Dozus Cook. I’ve been cooking and filming recipes since 2016. Here, I share homemade meals with step-by-step photos and written instructions to help you make them in your own kitchen.
More than 450,000 people subscribe to my YouTube channel, where you can watch me prepare the dishes I share. If you’ve come here from one of my videos, welcome! This is where you’ll find ingredient quantities, printable recipe cards, and notes to keep handy while you cook.
My Cooking Style
I’m drawn to comforting meals with plenty of flavor: golden chicken in a creamy sauce, tender beef simmered slowly, meatballs with gravy, and potatoes with crisp edges. I especially love a good pan sauce and something simple on the side to soak it up.
Much of my cooking starts with familiar ingredients like chicken, pork, ground beef, rice, and vegetables. Some recipes come together quickly in a skillet; others need a little more time on the stove. You’ll find both here, along with fresh salads, homemade bread, and everyday side dishes.
How I Create My Recipes
I cook, test, film, and photograph my recipes myself. As I work on a dish, I pay attention to the details that affect the result: how the meat browns, the balance of the seasoning, the thickness of the sauce, and the time each step needs.
When a recipe needs an adjustment, I make changes and cook it again. Those adjustments help shape the instructions and notes I share, including when to lower the heat, what texture to look for, and which steps deserve a little extra patience.
The photos throughout my posts show the dish as I prepare it. They’re there to help you follow along, whether you’re checking the color of the onions or wondering how the sauce should look before adding the meat back to the pan.
Cooking Along with Me
I want the written recipes to be useful while you’re actually cooking. Alongside timing, I describe what to look for in the pan, because a few extra minutes of browning or a gentler simmer can make a difference.
If you like to read through the process first, the posts include step-by-step directions, photos, and tips. When you’re ready to get started, use the Jump to Recipe button to go straight to the ingredient quantities and full instructions in the recipe card.
