Ingredients

  • 2 lb (900g) boneless chicken
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2–3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  • Pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Make shallow crosshatch cuts on the surface and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  • Lightly coat the chicken with flour, shaking off any excess.
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 4 minutes per side, until golden and seared.
  • Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter, lemon juice, soy sauce, honey, and garlic to the skillet.
  • Stir gently to combine, then cook the chicken in the sauce for about 2 minutes per side, spooning the sauce over the top.
  • Cover the skillet with a lid and let the chicken gently simmer over low heat for 3 minutes.
