Ingredients 

  • 4 medium potatoes, cut into 1.5 cm cubes
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ⅓ tsp salt
  • ⅓ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp sour cream
  • 3 tbsp oil, for cooking
  • fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the potatoes Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the potatoes and cook for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and crispy. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
  • Brown the ground beef In the same skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until deeply browned.
  • Add seasoning, onion, and butter Add salt, pepper, smoked paprika, thyme, onion, and butter. Cook for 3–4 minutes until the onion softens.
  • Add garlic Stir in the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  • Combine everything Return the potatoes to the skillet and stir gently. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Finish with sour cream Turn off the heat and stir in the sour cream. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
