Stir Fry Cabbage With Mushrooms it’s one of my favorite cabbage recipes.


But, because I sharpened my focus mostly on easy cabbage dinner recipes that you can truly make on a Tuesday night, this beauty did not make the cut. It’s easy!

Cabbage is fantastic, and when you lightly stir fry it with some spices garlic, onions and mushrooms, it instantly becomes delicious.
Cabbage is a true vegetable treasure, widely underappreciated.
It is low-cost and highly nutritious.

This Stir Fry Cabbage With Mushrooms recipe is crazy good.

You can apply this technique to any vegetable not only cabbage, and it will probably taste much better than just steaming it!
This is essentially for beans and anything that usually taste too horrible because it’s a vegetable.


Cabbage With Mushrooms Recipe

Have you stared in the fridge looking at the ingredients and had no idea what to make out of them? I had experienced this many times! And until recently, this ”unusable recipe ingredient” for me was cabbage, any cabbage honestly.

I haven’t tried but adding some chicken, pork or shrimps would work pretty well in this stir fry and will become a wholesome dinner meal that everyone will eat, even kids! Please let me know if you try it out!

How To Make Stir Fry Cabbage With Mushrooms

Never made Cabbage With Mushrooms before? It is simple!
You just need cabbage and mushrooms , seasonings and a few minutes in a frying pan!

Cabbage is usually very cost effective vegetable and you can store it in your fridge for 2-4 weeks!
Sometimes I get away with 5 weeks.
I love that I can buy a few cabbages when I go to the store and they are ready and waiting for me on busy nights!


INSTRUCTIONS:

Slice off the stem end of the cabbage head so that you have a sturdy base. And cut it into thin strips, just take your chef’s knife and slice it thinly.


Chop an onion and carrot.


Heat 6 tbsp. oil in the pan (regular pan is fine, no need for a wok) then add choped onion and stir about 3 minutes or until it gets nice and fragrant,

then add carrot and cook for 10 minutes stirring over medium heat.


Add mushrooms and cook for 9 minutes stirring over big heat.


Add minced garlic and stir 2 minutes, then add cabbage, cover the lid and cook for 5 minutes.


Next, add salt, black pepper, paprika and stir for 4 min over medium heat, then add tomato paste and stir for 5 min over medium heat.

Stir Fry Cabbage With Mushrooms is Ready!


Sprinkle whith parsley and serve hot as a vegetarian main dish or as a side dish for pork chops, roasted chicken, pork roast, steak or turkey.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb / 600g. Cabbage

  • 1 lb. / 400g. Mushrooms

  • 1 Onion

  • 1 Carrot

  • 3 Garlic cloves

  • 1 tsp. Salt

  • 1/3 tsp. Black pepper

  • 1 tsp. Paprika

  • 1 tbsp. Tomato paste

  • 50g. Parsley

Directions
